Industrial mills are used to change the size of a product, whether by breaking or grinding a material into smaller granules or powder or by agglomerating a product into larger granules or pellets. Roller mills use rollers to crush the product into a smaller granule or powder. An attritor mill wears the product into a smaller size. Colloid mills break down the size of solid or liquids in a liquid suspension. Hammer mills use fixed or rotating hammers to break apart product inside a drum. A jar mill holds and rotates a cylindrical container with rollers. Jet mills use air pressure to mill the product. Knife mills use knives to grind product in a drum as their name implies. Lump breakers are used to break up a product and make it uniform. Mix mullers use a rotating plow and wheels to obtain an even mixture, and pellet mills roll powder through a die to form pellets.
